Michael Broome Obituary
He was born June 1, 1960, in Mecklenburg County to the late Mackie Lee and Emma Helms Broome.
He was preceded in death by his sisters; Brenda Bell, Kathern Medlin and Daisy Griggs.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 37 years, Shelby Campbell Broome; his children; Jannifer Adams of Gastonia, Michael Eric Broome and wife Amanda of Cherryville, Chad Broome of Kings Mountain, Kelly Vaughn and husband William of Lincolnton, Vickie Broome of Cherryville; grandchildren; Allison Adams, Andy Thrift, Miranda Broome, Breanna Daniels, Corey Lail, Mason Broome, Matthew Pruitt, Lucas Vaughn, Brianna Newsome and Raelee Broome; sisters, Frances Green of Gastonia, Patricia Owens of Rock Hill, SC, Betty Walker of Gastonia.
His funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016, in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with the Revs. Danny Shortridge and Wade Good Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow in Olney Presbyterian Cemetery, Gastonia.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Cleveland County for the care given to Michael during his illness.
