Noel Sewell Obituary
He was born Aug. 11, 1938, in Clay County, son of the late George Washington and Anna Tanner Sewell.
Mr. Sewell was retired from Western Auto after almost 25 years of service.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Tim Hendrick, Pastor David McMahann and speaker Mike Holcomb.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, George and Lisa Sewell of the home, Edward and Jean Sewell of Mount Holly; daughters and sons-in-law, Christy and Joe Oliver of Albermarle, Susan and Bill Johnson of Gastonia; step-son Calvin Sawyer; special grandchild, Amber Sewell of the home; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Clara Botts, Jan Wright, Delores Holcomb, Mary Hardin, Emma Lou Dodson; brothers, Paul Sewell, John Harley Sewell.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: wife, Josephine Sewell; brothers, Harold, Terry and Troy Sewell; sisters Ella Ve Nerio and Nova Lee Nix.

I want to send my love and condolences to my family. I really miss you all. I will miss my Uncle Noel. I will always love and cherish the memories I have. Sorry I was unable to attend the services. I do love all and will keep you all in my prayers.
