Paul Grigg Obituary
He was born Jan. 20, 1945, in Lenior County, son of the late Florilla Grigg Beverly and Jess Grigg.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was retired from Duke Energy after 25 years of service and was an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God for 15 years. Mr. Grigg was an avid hunter and gunsmith, who loved the outdoors.
A service to celebrate the life of Paul will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Yorkwood Church of God officiated by the Revs. Paul Collins, Joel Shirley and Bradley Grigg.
The family will receive friends 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.
The Rev. Grigg is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, June Frederick Grigg of the home; sons, Paul Sheldon Grigg and wife Kelly R. Grigg of Anderson, S.C., Bradley Frederick Grigg and Kennon Michael Grigg both of Juneau, Ala.; grandchildren, Jessica Moriah Grigg, Sarah Elizabeth Grigg both of Anderson, S.C., Micah Bradley Grigg of Juneau, Ala.; brothers, J.A. "Sonny" Grigg and wife Rhonda of Rapid City, S.D., Steve Roger Grigg and wife Gloria of Blacksburg, S.C.; numerous nieces and nephews; special "adoptive" family Josh and Brooke Mann, Emily Rose Mann all of Lafayette, Tenn.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: stepfather, Auther Beverly.
Memorials may be sent to St. Judes Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 2151,Memphis, TN 38101-2151.
