Richard Barnes Obituary
A Gastonia native, he was the son of the late Walter Robert and Mary Auten Barnes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Laura Hobbs Barnes of the home; daughter Jennifer Hobbs Rosbrook of Raleigh, NC; son Brian Blaine Hobbs and his wife Lisa of Gastonia; grandchildren Morgan and Taylor Rosbrook, Ryker and Eason Hobbs; sisters Margaret Friday, Frances Wilson and Betty Leagon all of Dallas, Wanda Fox of Gastonia and Jane Watts of Mississippi.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters Ella Forbes, Anne Kirksey, Leona Marr; three brothers David, Walter and Harrison Barnes.
Services will be private to the family.
Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
Arrangements are with McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.

I am sorry to hear of Richard's passing, I know you will be lost and lonely for some time but with many prayers, God will see you through this. May you find comfort and peace in knowing Richard is no longer suffering. He was a good man with a big heart and will be missed by all. In our thoughts and prayers,
