Ronald Pruett Obituary
He was born on October 8, 1942 in Gaston County to the late Elsie McAlister Pruett.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother Max N. Pruett. Ronnie graduated from Stanley High School. He worked for Duke Power for 31 years from 1966-1997 at Riverbend Steam Station and in the General Office. He also worked at Belmont Abbey College and was the owner of Pruett's Income Tax Service. Ronnie was a member of Catawba Heights Baptist Church where he served in many ministry areas. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Susan Hart Pruett; two daughters Shannon and Sherry Pruett; and "Pappa" to his granddaughter Alexis Lineberger.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Alexis Baptist Church Cemetery in Alexis.
The family wishes to thank Gaston Hospice and the members of Catawba Heights Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, 258 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.

Ron's heart of service and love was always evident in his presence an participation anywhere he was needed at Catawba Heights Baptist Church. I will miss his greeting as I entered the church on Sunday, and I look forward to his greeting when we join him in the presence of our Savior, Jesus Christ! I join in the sorrow of the family and friends as we remember him and rejoice in his attaining the goal of God's eternal presence, for "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!

Ron will be greatly missed. Many years of ushering along side of Ron, always a man devoted to service and love God and of his fellow man. He's now in His Presence.
