Roy Myers Obituary
Gene worked as the facilities manager at Piedmont Community Charter School. He previously worked with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. A long standing member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church, Gene was active with the church choir and the children's sports ministry. He dearly loved and cherished his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by a son, Greg Myers.
Gene is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Donna Myers; children, Jeremy Myers and wife, Lisa, Amie Blake, Courtney Suits and fiancé, Derek Dean, Sam Blake and Scott "Pud" Myers; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Tony Campbell; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends of Gene Myers are invited to attend his funeral service beginning at 4:00 PM Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Sandy Plains Baptist Church. The Rev. David Keuss will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. A private family burial will take place on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Lakeview Memory Gardens in Filbert, SC.
