Susan Bridges Obituary
Born in Muscogee County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Kenneth T. and Lucy (Gilmer) Anderson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Michael Lee Bridges Sr. and grandson Alex Green. She was retired from Lowe's Home Improvement and also worked for CA Short before retiring again in 2017. Susan was a member of New Buffalo Baptist Church, Grover. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was very proud to be a grandmother. She enjoyed going to church and her church family was very important to her.
Survivors include her son, Michael Lee Bridges Jr. and wife Arlene, Huntersville; daughter, Sherri Bridges Wilson, and husband Jeff, Mooresville; brothers, Eddie Anderson and wife Elaine, Kings Mountain, Steve Anderson and wife Melanie, formerly of Kings Mountain, Richard Anderson and wife Janice, Winston Salem; grandchildren: Sierra Archibald, Logan Green, Cassidy and Jacob Bridges and Madison Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at New Buffalo Baptist Church, Grover, with Rev. Adam Green officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at New Buffalo Baptist Church.
Internment will be at New Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery, Grover.
Memorials may be made to New Buffalo Baptist Church, 1010 Lavender Rd., Grover, NC 28073.
