Tim Huffstetler Obituary

GASTONIA - Timothy Wayne Huffstetler, 68, went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2015.

He was born May 30, 1946 in Gaston County.

Tim was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and attended Olney Presbyterian Church. Tim was an avid out-doorsman who loved gardening, trips to the beach and mountains. He loved his dogs and music. Most of all he loved and cherished his family and
friends. Tim retired from SKF Company after many years of service.

He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Thomas Huffstetler and a brother Dan Huffstetler. Tim is survived by his mother, Alamae Ballard Huffstetler; daughter, Amy H. Groves and husband, Harry B. Groves III and grandson, Clay, Danny and Lori Huffstetler, David and Lisa Lawson; his wife, Glennie Fowler Huffstetler and many other family members and loved ones.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Olney Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Libby Sigmon and Scott Huffstetler officiating.

Family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.

Interment will be in the church cemetery at a later date.

My sincere condolences to Tim's immediate and extended family and friends. He will be missed. Tim was one of my room mates while stationed at Anderson AFB in Guam in 1968/69. We had quite a few laughs and good times together .
I wish him peace for all eternity.
