Wesley Telsrow Obituary
He was born Oct. 30, 1988, in Gaston County, to Sam Telsrow of Belmont and Amy MacMullen of Grover.
Wesley was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Belmont.
He is survived by his mother, Amy MacMullen and Steve McMillan of Grover; father, Sam Telsrow and wife Sharon of Belmont; brother, Philip Telsrow of Belmont; sister, Samantha Telsrow of Belmont.
A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Lawing officiating.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SECU House, 123 Old Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.

I was one of Wesley's nurses on Pediatrics at Gaston Memorial,he had such a sweet smile and still has that today. I know will be missed. He is in heaven now,breathing freely.Although it has been many many years since his diagnosisi still remember him.

I can't believe I just saw you at the cf walk. I wonder how do we make sense of your young life being cut so short? That is when I think of how many lives that you have touched through yours. You were so helpful when I would ask you something about cf. Always smiling, even when you probably didn't feel like it. Thank you for always being a good friend to Morgan. I have watched him battle cf for 22 years so I know what you had to go through each day just to breathe. But now, there are no more pills or treatments or pain, just peace. You were and still are an inspiration Wesley, and you will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Amy, I am praying for and thinking of you and your family.

I didn't know Wes personally, only thru a friend but I felt like I really wanted to meet him because of all the nice things I was told about him. I lost my son when he was 25 so I know the pain his family is going thru. Just know that he is safe and breathing in heaven and that you will see him again. I'm praying for the family that they will find the peace and comfort in knowing that Wes is so happy in heaven. Rest in peace Wesley. See you in heaven sweet angel.

I only knew u for the last 1-2 years or so, but u were everything your mom had said u were. After your new lungs u amazed me by working out at Planet Fitness with a fervor, & even going so far as getting a job there. In fact, I think that is partly what made it even more devastating when u got sick again because it seemed that u were in the clear.
It seems surreal now knowing that I texted with u just a week ago to see what was up ... & now u're no longer here with us. Nonetheless, the honor of knowing u was an incredible privilege & an inspiration I will never forget. Most people will live a lifetime without such a blessing.

Though I never met Wes, he made such an impact on my son, Stuart Ellis. He was an inspiration and a hero to so many. He fought his battle with smiles and laughter and never made anyone feel sorry for him. He touched so many hearts that he will never be forgotten. Amy & Steve, Sam & Sharon: You don't know us but we knew your precious son, Wesley, through our grandson, Andrew Quinn. Wesley was the most positive person we ever met. He and Andrew had some good times at our house and he was like a family member to us. We are so sorry for your loss. I remember swimming together and seeing you in the halls of school. Although I moved after junior year, I thought of you frequently and how you always made me smile and laugh when I was upset.
