Willard Phillips Obituary
He was born July 19, 1947, in Gaston County, son of the late John Denzel Phillips and Stella Ledford Phillips.
"Mack" was a US Army veteran.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia.
"Mack" is survived by daughter, Tracey Phillips Smith and husband Curtis; son, John Douglas Phillips; brothers, Bobby, Jack, and Ronnie Phillips; sisters, Joyce Phillips, Jearleen Reeves, Rickie Huggins; grandchildren, Michael Roper, Megan Phillips, Dakota Wallace.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Larry Phillips; brother-in-law, Gary Huggins; nieces, Lynn Phillips, Robbie Phillips; nephew, Gregg Phillips.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Wounded Warriors Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.

The Phillips family are all very nice. I lived across the street from Lynn Phillips and worked with both Lynn's Father Larry Phillips and also Mac. The entire Phillips family will be in my prayers.
