Wilma Wade Obituary

CLOVER, S.C. - Wilma Carter Wade, 83, passed away Tuesday, December 01, 2009 at her residence.

She was born November 25, 1926 in Union County, SC, daughter of the late Elam Grady Carter and Veatrice Annie Alma Carter. Mrs. Wade was a member of West Fifth Ave. Free Will Baptist Church, Gastonia.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia with the Revs. Marshall Parker and Charles Darden Jr. officiating.

Interment will be at Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia.

A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Norman of Clover, S.C., Darlene Smith of Bessemer City, Ann Outen of Lancaster, S.C.; sisters, Frances Bru-nett of Chester, S.C., Vera Caldwell of Union, S.C.; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randolph Wade and a son, William Grady Smith.

Memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 154 Ammendment Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Arrangements are with Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia.
