Donald Gagnon Obituary

Donald Roland Gagnon, age 62, passed away on March 21, 2010. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 31 years and was formerly a resident of Lowell, Massachusetts. Donald was born on May 6, 1947 to Andre Joseph and Armande (Perras) Gagnon in Lowell, Massachusetts. He attended St. Joseph's Boys School in Lowell. On September 19, 1970 he married Margaret Mary Cunningham in Nashua, New Hampshire at Infant Jesus Church. Don was an electronic technician and was fond of tinkering on computers. He also enjoyed shopping, and had an appreciation for classical, Irish and some country music. He also loved his pets: Pepper and MaggieMae. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was a very meticulous and detailed person. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Mary Gagnon; his son Brian Joseph (wife, Kathleen Erin) Gagnon; his daughter Monique Marie (husband, Robert William) Gonzalez; two brothers: Paul and Jerry (wife, Claudette) in Massachusetts; two sisters: Aline (husband, Al) Grimard in New Hampshire and Judith DesRochers in New Jersey; three granddaughters: Danielle, Sarah, and Kelsey Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home with a Rosary to follow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 26, 2010 at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 4925 North Carefree Circle, Colorado Springs, CO 80917. Private inurnment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Alcove of Devotion. Memorials in Donald's name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
