Donna VanHook Obituary

Donna Van Hook died on December 20 with Karen King, her partner of 32 years, at her side. After living with metastatic breast cancer for over three years, Donna's immune system was too weak to fight off pneumonia. Donna was comfortable with her final stage of life and peacefully drifted off taking with her that mischievous grin and intense ability to listen.

Donna lived an amazing life loving nature and travel, animals, and being a life long learner. She continued her deep quest for knowledge with the Jungian society until her death. Most of all Donna loved people. Her children, grandchildren, niece and her son were the luckiest of all knowing Donna their entire lives. Donna is survived by Amelia Norfleet Dorn (David, Willa, Finley), Cara Kelsch (Jeremy, Tycho) and Matt Norfleet (Kensington, Kamden).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 18 at 11am at the First Congregational Church, 20 E Saint Vrain, in Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, Donna requested that donations be made to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region so that others may know the joy an adopted animal will bring into their lives.
