David DeNucce Obituary

David G. DeNucce

Easthampton, MA - David G. DeNucce, age 72, passed away on Jan. 7, 2025. He was born in Everett MA, on Jan 14,1952, the son of Anthony and Concetta (Liotta) DeNucce.

David was a graduate of Malden High School in 1971. He was employed as a Truck Driver for Consolidated Freightways for over 30 years, and a very proud member of the Teamsters Union. He met and married Nancy MacDonald in 1971 and made their home in Easthampton since 1982.

Dave was a seeker of knowledge and collector of curiosities. A lifelong explorer of the uncommon. He turned every corner of his life into a cabinet of wonders, filled with artifacts, stories, and memories that spoke of his unquenchable inquisitiveness and zest for life. He was a curator of the weird and wonderful, finding beauty in what others might overlook. He leaves behind a family and legacy as rich and eclectic as the collection he cherished. Papa's life was a testament to the joy of curiosity and the magic of seeing the world through a unique lens, eagerly sharing it with his grandchildren every chance he had. Constantly reminding them to listen and learn, provoking side eye and giggles. He was a lifelong New England sports fan. Game day was not just a pastime; it was a ritual, shared with family, friends, and anyone who'd join him in celebrating his teams.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter Kristine DeNucce-Simms, and her husband Tyrone Simms, two sons David A. DeNucce and his wife Devon DeNucce, Anthony C. DeNucce and his partner Liz Patridge.

Grandchildren, Courtney DeNucce and her wife Alex, Kolby DeNucce, Jade, Javier, Giuseppe, Audrina, Ivylise DeNucce-Simms and Charley DeNucce.

His brother Thomas DeNucce

He was predeceased by a daughter Angela M. DeNucce and brothers John DeNucce and Paul DeNucce.

Calling hours will be Friday Jan 17 at the Mitchell Funeral Home from 4 to 6pm followed by a Prayer Service at 6pm

My cousin David was like my little brother. We grew up in Nonnie Liotta's house in Everett, the DeNucces downstairs, the Liottas and my mother and me upstairs. He was always such a cheerful person, always smiling. And he kept that wonderful personality as a grown-up. He and Nancy had the sweetest relationship of anyone I know.

Kristen, this is a beautiful obituary. My heart goes out to you all, but especially Nancy. Dave will be missed by all. He was a big part of a very loving, curious, artistic, and exciting family. The compound will have to fill a big hole.
