John Bielanski Obituary

ELLINGTON, Conn. – John T. Bielanski, 73, of Ellington, passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, at Hartford Hospital. Born in Easthampton, Massachusetts, the son of the late Max and Jean (Kuzia) Bielanski, he grew up and lived in Easthampton, Massachusetts, before moving to Ellington over 40 years ago.

He was a graduate of Easthampton High School, Class of 1962. After graduation, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy and he was stationed in Argentia, Newfoundland. Prior to his retirement in 2004, John was employed by Hamilton Standard for over 30 years. He was an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan, and he also loved to golf.

He is survived by his brother, Douglas Bielanski and his wife Elda of Sedona, Arizona, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Carol Gromelski.

Funeral services and burial are private and at the convenience of his family. Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home in Vernon is caring for the arrangements.

Easthampton was a wonderful place to grow up and the 50's were a wonderful time to do it. John was the perfect friend to share that journey with. I appreciate a reason to revisit the friendship and enjoy once again those special times.
