Kimberly Myers-Dawley Obituary

Kimberly Myers-Dawley

Belchertown, MA - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kimberly Ann Myers on March 29, 2024, born on July 22, 1961, in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Kim was the daughter of the late Kenneth Myers and is survived by her mother, Helen (Myers) Brown. She was a 1979 graduate of North Penn High School in Lansdale, PA and she attended Lock Haven University from '79-'81; followed by Gwynedd Mercy College from '87-90, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She finished her education at UMASS Amherst from '90-'93 obtaining her Nurse Practitioner degree (NSM). Kim worked at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia, PA; Holyoke Hospital in Holyoke, MA; and retired from the Hampshire Sheriff's Department in Northampton, MA as an Assistant Deputy Superintendent and head of the medical unit.

Kim was a gifted athlete. She loved to spend time with friends and family, whether at home on the lake or camping in Provincetown. She had an infectious smile, a caring heart, and made friends anywhere she went. She was always there if someone was in need and touched many people's lives. You knew she loved you when she gave you her signature "one-finger salute". Most of all, she had an unconditional love for animals.

Besides her mother, Kim is survived by her loving wife Susan (Suzy) Myers-Dawley, a son Skyler Britto, and a son-in-law Kyle Britto. She is also survived by her brother Kenneth Myers, niece Carlee Myers, her husband Brian, and their children Josh & Abby, as well as her niece Chelsea Myers, and her daughter Sola.

Kim's family would like to thank the Oncology Unit of Cooley Dickinson Hospital, the medical team at Brigham & Women's Hospital, along with the Cooley Dickinson Hospice team under the special care of Nurse Charlene Vinton and one of her closest friends, Dr. Mark Bigda.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Kim's favorite charity, TLC Pet Rescue; checks can be made payable to TLC Pet Rescue at 422 Lakeshore Drive, Stockbridge GA 30281.

The family invites you to join us in paying tribute to an amazing woman at Beers and Story Funeral Home 10 Maple St, Belchertown, MA 01007 on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. In Kim's memory the family encourages you to wear something purple; her favorite color.
