Lynda Tarutis Obituary

Lynda M. (Christenson) (Willard) Tarutis, of Deland, Florida, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018.

Born on May 20, 1939 in Northampton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Carl Victor and Beatrice M. (Carrier) Christenson.

She was predeceased by her son Kevin Willard, her husband Joseph Tarutis, and step-daughter Donna Tapscott.

Lynda leaves behind three brothers: Alan Christenson, Lee (Betty) Christenson and Jon Christenson; two sisters: Carole (Mike) Flynn, Lori (Sue Miller) Christenson. Three sons: Robert (Barbara) Willard, Scott (Sandy) Willard, Mark (Michelle) Willard; two daughters: Carla (Mike) Lynch, Christen Williford and step-daughter Karen Cogswell.

Six grandsons: Robby, Christopher, TK, Jon, Christopher and Austin; Twelve granddaughters: Karen, Rochelle, Brandi, Nicole, Caitlyn, Samantha, Kayla, Emily, Victoria, Kelsie, Loren and Shannon; Six great-grandsons: Kyran, Wyatt, Jack, Dominic, Glen and Leland; Ten great-granddaughters: Shealynn, Colby, Hanna, Jaeda, Kirsten, Kaylin, Olivia, Emma, Heavenly and Rowan.

Lynda attended schools in Northampton, Ma., class of 1957. She moved to Florida with her family in 1971. She worked at West Volusia Hospital and retired after 22 years. She was Past Senior Regent for the Women of the Moose.

Lynda loved bowling and bass fishing with Joe. She enjoyed playing cards, especially poker; cooking; baking and decorating for the holidays. She was skilled in ceramics making many colorful pieces and sharing them with family members. Lynda was above all devoted to her family.

There will be a family Celebration of Life at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to

the Hospice Care Center of Orange City, 1625 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Orange City, Florida 32763.
