Susan Hoyt Obituary
Northampton, MA — Susan Powell Hoyt (Montague), age 74, died peacefully in her sleep at Cooley Dickinson Hospital on December 4, 2021. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Unitarian Society of Northampton and Florence. A longtime employee at Forbes Library and later at Beyond Words Bookshop, Suzi was a familiar face to many in Northampton. She delighted in chatting with and helping the many patrons and customers she met during those years. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary "Molly" J Hoyt; and is survived by her two daughters, Emily Nelly Bisbee of Hadley, and Elizabeth Bisbee Rauch (Edward) of Garrison, New York; her caregiver and ex-husband Robert Montague of Northampton; two grandchildren, Louise Prentice Rauch and August Brewster Rauch; three siblings, Robert B Hoyt of Schenectady, New York, Michele Hoyt of Montague, Massachusetts, and Victor N Hoyt of Fishkill, New York; and 3 nephews and 2 nieces.
