Joe Vivilacqua Obituary

Our family has sadly lost an incredible dad and grandfather on March 30, 2022.
Joe Vivilacqua fought so hard in the hospital after an unexpected illness.
He was 78 years young.
Joe worked in real estate for 50 years in the Long Beach area. He and his partners opened Edgewater Realty in the late 70's. Shortly thereafter they opened Colony Pacific Escrow.
He was a great friend and mentor to so many. Joe loved his many friends, getting together weekly with his breakfast and lunch groups. His many hobbies included, fishing, cooking, playing poker, word puzzles and scrabble games with his friends and family.
He was blessed to have traveled all over the world. He was a lifetime Dodger fan, and the 2020 World Series Championship win was the highlight of his year.
He loved his family immensely and was very proud of his grandchildren. Joe is survived by his daughter Natalie Brekke, her husband Tom Brekke, his daughter Sheri Coyne; his grandsons Shane Coyne, Dylan Brekke; granddaughter Kylie Coyne, and also his first wife, Mickie Parkhouse.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Judy Vivilacqua, his parents Nat and Fannie Vivilacqua and his brother Eddie.
Joe will be greatly missed by all those that loved him.
In Joe's memory, please consider a donation to The City of Hope.

It would have been great to see you just one more time Joe.....Will never forget the great times we had in grammar school at SMS. Happy we got the chance to talk on the phone and that you once again saw your dear friend Joe Graffio. I'll always remember the curtains in your moms kitchen in HP as the moved softly in the breeze. Can't believe two years have passed. Love, your friend from SMS, Betty Lombardo-D'Amelio

I met Joe 50+ years ago. My new bride and I were in our young 20's, translants from NY. Joe became my realtor, my mentor, my friend.
Of the 8 properties I bought and sold, Joe was integral to 7 of them.
I am shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. Long Beach has lost a great realtor and I have lost a great friend.
