Jan. 31, 1928 - March 14, 2013
Evalyn was born on Jan. 31, 1928, in Primrose, Neb., to John Patterson Primrose and Lottie M. Crabtree Primrose.
She grew up in Primrose, a village named after her grandfather, David C. Primrose.
Evalyn worked for Nebraska Continental Telephone Company in Albion, Neb., before moving to Oregon in 1949 with her family. She started working for Coast Telephone Company in Philomath in April of 1950. She retired from Pioneer Telephone Cooperative 40 years later, in 1990.
Evalyn enjoyed the Oregon Coast, traveling and photography in her retirement. She will be remembered as a kind and caring person.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Edith; and two brothers, Richard and Robert.
The family would like to thank Judy Thompson, Dana and Tara of Genesis for their care and support of Evalyn.
Inurnment will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, at Crystal Lake Cemetery in Corvallis. McHenry Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
