George Cuninggim Lynch was a medical illustrator, portrait painter, and professor emeritus of biomedical communications at the Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine.
He was born in Hillsboro, N.C., to George Calvin and Cora Elizabeth Litchfield Lynch.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William. Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Peninger Lynch; son, Charles Mark Lynch and his wife, Teresa Zimmerdahl Lynch; a daughter, Elizabeth Dawn Pott and her husband, Robert Pott; and granddaughters Avery Lynch and Gina Lynch, all of Corvallis.
