Glen Lutz Obituary

Glen "Jerry" Lutz

December 26, 1944 - August 22, 2025

Glen was born in Beckley, West Virginia. Glen's family eventually settled in Albany, Oregon, where he graduated from Albany High School in 1962. He went on to attend University of Oregon, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business in 1968. He and his wife Sharon loved splitting their time between Eugene and Phoenix, Arizona.

His passion for finance shaped his lifelong career. Glen worked for several different banks and later as a stockbroker, before joining Concord Financial Counselors in Eugene in 1984. He eventually became the sole owner of the firm, as well a certified Financial Planner and Tax Consultant, winning awards and serving his clients with dedication and integrity for decades.

Glen had an extraordinary ability to learn, recall and apply knowledge, a gift that served him well in all areas of his life.

Glen's family and friends all knew his first love was fishing, ignited by his father who was a commercial fisherman at the Oregon coast while Glen was a young boy. Glen could out fish just about anyone, whether it was on group trips in Oregon or up in Alaska, and his recipe for curing bait and smoking salmon will be forever coveted.

Glen is survived by his wife Sharon, his children Amy and Mark, his brother Ron, his sister Pat, his stepchildren Beau, Shauna, and Lauren, his grandchildren Jay, Tyler, Greysen, and Max, and his great grandchildren Weston and Hazel.

Glen was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
