Jim Goode and his beautiful wife, Nancy, were so kind and welcoming to me as I reached out for support on my professional path. They ended up as my friends, which, I expect, was a common story in their lives. Jim was smart, generous, and lived with love as his guide. I felt it. I´m so glad I knew him.

Jim was the best of humanity. He was smart, thoughtful, loving, and funny. His brain was top-notch to the end. He and his wife, Nancy, will forever be honored by the legacy they leave in the establishment of Chamberlin House Inc (CHI). CHI is an organization that provides housing and services for folks with intellectual and physical disabilities. Rest easy, Jim. Your work on this earth is complete. Sending love to you and your beautiful bride.

Beautiful Obituary! Thank you!
For the last year, Jim was my neighbor, just two doors down. At the encouragement of his wife Nancy, I stopped by to for a delightful visit with Jim about five weeks before he left us. Bright, sharp, with a brilliant memory, he shared recollections from his long career in Albany. We shared memories of mutual friends and acquaintances, even stretching to Newport where I live most of my adult life. I was treated to a unique view of my own father ... before Jim rose to the Bench, he had been my father's personal attorney. We shared many common memories, and I am so very happy that I took up Nancy's invitation to "stop by and see Jim."
