Mabelle C. Martsching died Thursday at Regency Park Place, at the age of 98.
She was born in Burns, Wyo., and graduated from normal school there. She taught school in Laramie County and also worked as an accountant at many places, including the IRS. She met John William Martsching and married him on Jan. 19, 1947, in Casper County, Wyo., before they moved to a farm outside of Beacon, Iowa, and later lived in Oskaloosa, Iowa, until moving to Corvallis in 1964.
Mabelle enjoyed genealogy, sewing and handiwork, and was a member of the Mid-Valley Genealogy Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Morgan; niece, Donna Whitfield; and nephews, Patrick Morgan and Henry Morgan.
