Pamela Hawkes

August 23, 1931 - September 20, 2024

Pamela Hawkes, 93, passed away at her home on September 20, 2024. Mrs. Hawkes was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Hawkes, and her brother, Gerald Johnson. She is survived by her sons, Eric and Logan.

Pamela Hawkes was born in London, England in 1931. In her youth, she served in the British Army. After finishing her military service, she moved to the United States, and earned a B.A. in sociology from Brigham Young University.

She devoted her life to taking care of her family and volunteering at community organizations, including the OSU Folk Club Thrift Shop. She loved gardening, and served in a number of positions in the Oregon Garden Club spanning fifty years.

Dear Eric and Logan,
Kathleen and Gordon Reistad are sorry to hear about your mother´s death. Wow, she had a long life! Hope you are coping. Good memories will help. Hope it was a peaceful passing.

Our boys played with you when we lived on Larch Street. I knew her through garden club and the Thrift Shop. When she was chairman, she got me involved with the bookkeeping. She was a hard worker! We´re thinking of you.
