Gail Schiefelbein Obituary

Janesville, WI - Gail Francis Schiefelbein, 74, of Janesville, WI, passed away on August 23, 2025, in the comfort of his home. A devoted Christian, Gail lived his life with an unwavering love for God, and a steadfast commitment to his family and community.

Gail was the proud and loving father of four children-Avery, Kelly (Mike), Alec (Rachael), and Aaron-and the beloved grandfather of seven: Tyler, Caylon, Anthony, Schyler, Laiken, Brodey, and Luka. He was the cherished son of Connie and Frank Schiefelbein and is survived by his mother, Connie, and six of his seven siblings: Sceone (John), Gary (Kris), Guy (Mary Kay), Becky (Jeff), Bonnie (Ron), and Amy (David). He is now reunited in Heaven with his father, Frank, and his youngest brother, Jesse.

In his younger years, Gail was an avid sportsman with a deep love for the outdoors and a special fondness for dogs. As time went on, he discovered a passion for shooting sporting clays-a pastime he pursued whenever he had the chance. Beyond his hobbies, it was his career as a hairdresser that defined his professional life.

For more than 50 years, Gail was recognized as one of Janesville's finest hairdresser, earning admiration not only for his skill but also for the lasting friendships and meaningful connections he built with everyone who sat in his chair. Above all, Gail's faith defined him. His devotion to God and his commitment to living a life of love, kindness, and service leave behind a legacy of faith and family that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Gail's life and the countless ways he blessed theirs, grateful for every memory. There will be a short service at 2:30 PM Friday, September 5, 2025, followed by a Celebration of Life and Fellowship from 3:00-5:00 PM at the APFEL WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, 21 S. Austin Rd, Janesville.
