Jack R. "Tyrone" Larsen

1951 - 2023

Janesville, WI - Jack R. "Tyrone" Larsen, age 72, of Janesville, died Sunday, July 9, 2023, at his home after a long illness. He was born in Janesville on Feb. 22, 1951, the son of the late Charles and Marie (Schumacher) Larsen Sr. and was a 1970 graduate of Janesville Parker High School. Jack married his high school sweetheart, Deborah V. "Deb" Kubly on April 15, 1972, at Cargill United Methodist Church. He held many positions at WPL/Alliant Energy for over 40 years. Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time at the family cabin near Manitowish Waters. If he wasn't up north you could find him in his workshop, tinkering with a project and holding a gabfest with the guys. Jack enjoyed riding his Harley.

He is survived by his wife, Deb; 3 children: Jennifer (Steven) Jaeger of West Allis, Amy (Jason) Mueller of Stoughton, and David (Melissa) Larsen of Janesville; 4 grandchildren: Cole, Rayna, Charlotte, and Anika; a sister, Charlyn Belzer of Winchester, WI; father-in-law, Richard Kubly Sr; Brother-in-law, Rick Kubly; Sisters-in-law, Doreen (Steve) O'Leary, Sue Larsen; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 brothers: Charlie and Larry Larsen and James Luedtke; Mother-In-Law, Mary Jane Kubly; and Brother-in-law, Tom Belzer.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the APFEL WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, 21 S. Austin Rd. Janesville. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. online condolences: www.apfelwolfe.com
