Jay Buchert Obituary
He lived in Edgerton and was the General Manager for Ponderosa Steakhouse for 32 years before the restaurant closed in 2012. He went on to other food service jobs before becoming a partner in Rock Valley Textile.
Jay was always willing to help others and had a heart of gold. His sense of humor and wit will be missed by all who knew him. He was an avid fan of the Packers and Brewers and enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. Jay loved being outdoors, fishing, hiking and skiing. He looked forward to his monthly poker games with friends. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Jay is survived by his wife, Kelly; mother, Nancy Buchert; siblings, Kelly A. (Randy) Tinder and Patrick (Denice) Buchert; brothers-in-law, Dave and Jim Senffner and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, and sister-in-law, Jodie Senffner.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and again an hour before the service on Wednesday.
