Jeffrey Schultz Obituary
Jeffrey Lynn Schultz Edgerton, WI - Jeff Schultz (82) passed away from cancer on May 29, 2023 at home in Fountain Hills, AZ with his loving wife Carrie by his side. It was fitting for Jeff to pass on Memorial Day. He was never in the military but held the utmost respect for those who served and was a generous supporter of the American Legion.
Jeffrey Lynn Schultz was born on May 17, 1941 to Paul and Maxine (Davis) Schultz. He graduated from Edgerton High School in 1959.
Jeff worked as a cement finisher along-side his father Paul "Popsie", Laverne "Ding" Yeske and his lifelong friend Patrick "Patter" Collins. Jeff went into business with Yeske Construction. Then went on his own with Fine Line Construction which later expanded into Schultz Construction. Jeff sold the business to his nephew Jason Schultz, who continues the success of the company located in Fort Atkinson, WI.
Years ago, Jeff owned several taverns. Most memorable the Red Baron and Showboat. He brought fun and laughter when he entered the bar. He had many friends who loved his sense of humor, comical behavior and contagious smile. He stayed young at heart his entire life.
Jeff ventured into land development a passion he thoroughly enjoyed. He was proud of Edgerton and worked hard to expand the residential community. Jeff was a visionary, risk taker and ambitious! He offered his advice and encouragement to others to go into business for themselves.
Jeff and Carrie enjoyed having parties at their home on Rock River and pontooning. They also enjoyed entertaining at their home in AZ overlooking the Desert Canyon Golf Course. Jeff loved the challenge of golf. He played his last game in April at the Edgerton Towne Country Club.
Jeff is survived by his devoted wife Carrie Richter. Siblings: Suzanne Fosdal, David (Susan) Schultz, and Janet Schultz. Sons: Tony Schultz, and Nick (Tina) Schultz. Their mother Mary Lee (Duane) Kittleson. Granddaughters Maggie and Megan Schultz. Niece/Nephews: Paula (Mike) Lund, Lane Fosdal, Jason (Jodie) Schultz, and Ryan (Marybeth) Schultz. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Maxine. Also, Roger Fosdal and Donald Thornton.
Celebration of a Life Well Lived will be held Sunday, September 17 at Lounge 1848 (Edgerton) from 2:00 to 6:00. Please join Carrie and Jeff's family to share your memories and hilarious stories about him.
