John H. Dahms

1940 - 2024

Edgerton, WI - John H. Dahms passed away at home on Saturday, March 23, 2024 with his wife, Marlyn Dahms, at his side. John was born on January 5, 1940 in Portage County, WI, the son of Bernard and Evelyn Dahms. John worked as an Iron Worker most of his life and retired from Debco Corporation on June 28, 2002 to live out his life on a farm he loved located in Busseyville, WI where he knew everyone and was well loved by all that knew him.

John will be especially remembered for his sense of humor and his giving nature as he was always there to help his family and friends when they needed him usually saying "let's gitter done".

John is survived by his wife Marlyn Dahms, sister Anita (Fred) Kolanowski of New Berlin, WI, sons Johnny and Dale of Florida, and daughter Linda ( Bob) of Mt. Horeb, WI as well as stepchildren Linda, Lana and Richard (Deanna). Grandchildren Kristin, Ellen, Caden, Robbert, Richard, Danny, Johnnie, Dakota and Meghan as well as 7 great grandchildren plus several foster children to numerous to name. He was also survived by many nephews and nieces of which Art and Don and his cousin Mike were of great comfort to John and Marlyn through the end of John's life.

John was preceded in death by his father, Bernard, mother, Evelyn, brothers Bob and Jim, sister June and granddaughter Marissa. Per John's request no funeral services will be held as his life long final wish was to be cremated only.
