Kenneth Quade Obituary

Germantown, WI - Kenneth L. Quade, 91, passed away at his home in Germantown, WI, on Sunday. Aug. 31, 2025. He was born Nov. 25, 1933, in Janesville, to Frank J. and Josephine M. (Emmert) Quade. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1963 after the Korean War. On Sept. 18, 1954, he married Patricia E. Atherton in Janesville. She would precede him in death on Feb. 11, 2012.

Ken owned his own flooring installation company, KL Flooring, for many years. Then worked for the Janesville School System in the building and maintenance department until retirement. He was a member of St. William Catholic Church, Loyal Order of Moose, and the American Legion.

Ken enjoyed golfing, fishing, ice fishing, bowling and playing cards. He loved music, especially country and old-time music, dancing in general but definitely the waltz. Ken also enjoyed traveling. Ken and his companion, Delores Speidel spent their winters in south Texas.

He is survived by his significant other Delores Speidel; 3 children: Scott (Tracy) Quade of Pulaski, WI, Krisanne (Tim) Martin of Janesville, and Phillip (Lisa) Quade of Janesville; 6 grandchildren: Kegan Quade, McKinley Quade, Penny (Jesse) Kuhlman, Wendy (Andrew) Schindler, Kayla (Maxwell) Becker, and Korey Quade; 5 great grandchildren: Emma, Cora, Brooklynn, Kaden, and Nikola; sister Bonnie Smythe of Janesville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 58 years, Patricia; and siblings: Betty Allen, Donald Quade, Tommy Quade, and Danny Quade.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at the APFEL WOLFE FUNERAL HOME. Entombment with full military honors will follow at Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the APFEL WOLFE FUNERAL HOME.
