Michael F. "Mike" Young

1947 - 2025

Edgerton, WI - Michael F. Young, age 78, of Edgerton, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Nazareth Home, Stoughton, surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born on June 26, 1947, in Stoughton, the son of Franklin and Melba (Schroeder) Young. He attended Edgerton High School and went on to be a Union Iron Worker based out of Rockford. He worked his way up to Forman and retired in 2009. He enjoyed working hard and staying busy. Some of his hobbies included hunting, fishing, woodworking, working with horses, gambling and playing cards with family. Mike married the love of his life, Linda Johnson on February 17, 1973.

Mike is survived by his wife, Linda Young, of 52 years; 4 children: Mark (Georgette) Young, Carolyn Johnson, Brad (Michelle) Young and Sarah (Tom) Rudolph; 9 grandchildren: Cody, Arianna, Nicole, Dustin, Kyle, Kayla, Cameron, Kate and Kyle; many great grandchildren; 4 siblings: Susan Bendler, Tom (Wendy) Young, Bob (Colleen) Young and Howie (Shelly) Young; and other family members and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Todd Young; and siblings: Judy Dominguez, Carolyn Young, Rick Young and Rod Young.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, at EDGERTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH with Rev. Dan Whitford officiating.
