Pauline Hraban Obituary

Ladysmith, WI - A life well-lived, Pauline J. Hraban, age 68, passed away on July 14, 2025 at her home surrounded by loved ones and her beloved corgi Pugsley.

Pauline, the daughter of Paul Brandenburg and Margaret Hartman, was born on December 9, 1956 in Janesville. She graduated high school in Janesville and worked at General Motors where she met her future husband. On March 16, 1984, Pauline married Robert Deegan, and relocated to Ladysmith after purchasing a farm. Their home was filled with warmth due to their love for dogs and ownership of many different breeds. They embarked together on extraordinary hunting and fishing adventures. Pauline worked at a bakery and was an exceptional cook. She operated a taxidermy shop and made countless customers happy with their trophies. Bob passed away in March of 2015.

On August 24, 2016, Pauline married David Hraban and they brought their dream to life by building a home on the farm in 2019. When they weren't working, they were pouring their hearts into perfecting the details around their home, creating a space that was truly a reflection of their love. They cherished spending time with family and friends, attending Cranberry Fest, and embarking on adventures that would create lifelong memories. With their vibrant and playful personalities,

they had a way of brightening up anyone's day.

Pauline's remarkable character, talent, and zest for life touched the hearts of all who knew her and will be profoundly missed. She had a gift for humor and playfulness. She cherished gatherings with friends and family. She adored attending festivals and craft fairs with her closest friend Jen and enjoyed watching bands with Dave and family. Pauline's inner strength was admirable, laugh was infectious, and her smile was radiant. She enjoyed special outings with her granddaughters, whether it was the movies, getting their nails done, or simply watching them enjoy childhood.

Pauline is survived by her husband, David; step-children, Katie(Robert) and Derek; mother, Margaret Hartman; brothers, Sterling(Kat) Brandenburg, Audie(Amy) Brandenburg, Faron(Becky) Brandenburg, and Mark(Shawna) Brandenburg; sisters, Shirline Granzow, Karin (Greg) Humphrey, Julia Martin, Janine Curley, and Janet(Keith) Geif; mother-in-law, Shirley Hraban; sisters-in-law, Linda(Chuck) Wester, Susan(Leroy) Scanlan-Miller, Barb(Don) Hastings, Polly Hraban, Betty Hraban, and Debbie Hraban; grandchildren, Kylah and Maylee; her dearest friend, Jen(Mike) Root; 26 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. Pauline was preceded in death by her father, Paul; brother, Justin; brother-in-law, Allen Hraban; and sister-in-law, Kathy Barnes.
