Ronald Viney Obituary
After graduating Milton Senior High School in 1979, he proudly served his country in the Navy from 1979 to 1986. His years in the service shaped his strong sense of loyalty and forged lifelong friendships that he cherished deeply.
Ron was known for his boundless energy and love for life. He found joy in the simple pleasures-spending time at the campground where he often got into good-natured shenanigans with his buddies, cooking up feasts for family and friends, and diving into hobbies like building and racing RC cars or exploring the world through geocaching. Whether behind a grill or behind the wheel of a remote-controlled car, Ron brought enthusiasm and heart to everything he did.
He was a man who loved with his whole heart and had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel like family. His warmth and humor left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Cindy Viney; his son Joshua Viney; grandchildren Landon Viney and Jordyn Viney; siblings Mick (Rhonda) Viney, Jan (Peter Kaufman) Viney, and Randy (Debbie) Viney; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. He will be missed by his devoted cat, Bessie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Al Viney and Doris (Carroll) Viney and his cat, Titus.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dan Abbott, the nurses at UW Hospital and Agrace Hospice for their compassionate care of Ron.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire laughter, love, and friendship.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on August 17, 2025, from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM at Blackhawk campground pavillion 3407 E Blackhawk Dr. Please bring a dish to pass.
