Walworth, WI - Peshtigo, WI - Ruth Schoof, age 91 of Walworth, WI passed away October 11, 2024 at home from cancer in Peshtigo. She was born June 26, 1933 in Abbyville, KS, the daughter of Joseph and Blanche Gorges. She married Wayne A. Martin on January 24, 1954 in Springfield, CO: they shared 45 years of marriage before his passing on April 13, 1999. Ruth worked on the bottling line at Kikkoman Foods for 25 years. She was a member of Brick Baptist Church of Walworth, WI and 1st Baptist Church of Delavan, WI.

Ruth is survived by her daughters: Linda Jolly and Karen (James) Meyer; 6 grandchildren: Donnald (Hannah), Willam (Kate), Martin (Stephanie), Chris (Ashley) Jolly, Douglas (Anna) and Bethany Meyer: 4 great-grandchildren: Mathias, Marcette, Gwendolyn and Penelope Jolly, Lydia Meyer and her husband Ken Sobay.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Martin: second husband Alvin Schoof.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sun, October 20, 2024, at Lazarczyk Family Funeral Homes of Delavan (118 S. 2nd Street, Delavan, WI 53115). Rev. Holly Anderle will officiate. Private burial will be at Roselawn Memory Garden in Delavan Township. Friends may call on Sunday from 1 until 1:30 p.m. at Lazarczyk Funeral Home of Delavan. In lieu of flowers, make a donation to your local animal shelter.
