1970 - 2025

Janesville, WI - Scott Minot Roberts, age 55, of Janesville, WI passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, while doing one of the favorite things he enjoyed most, helping someone who was in need of his help. Scott was born on February 11, 1970, the son of Harry E. and Sharon Ann (Emerson) Roberts. He grew up on the family farm in La Prairie Township, Rock County, WI. He attended Janesville public schools and graduated from Janesville Craig High School in 1988. He went on to attend UW-Platteville where he received a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science.

Scott resided on the family farm where he specialized in raising chickens and bees. He was well known for selling eggs and honey, especially at the Beloit Farmers Market as well as to his regular customers. As a youth, Scott was active in La Prairie 4-H. He was a member of the La Prairie Grange and the Emerald Grove Cemetery Association board. He attended Christ Community Church, Clinton. Scott will be remembered for the pleasure he received from helping others, his enjoyment of playing beach volleyball and for being a trickster, especially to his great nieces.

Scott Roberts is survived by his father, Harry E. Roberts; sister, Fawn (Tom) Levault; nieces and nephews, Shannon (Derrick) Van Beek, Justin (Maribeth) Ryder, Thomas (Lindsey) Levault, Kasondra (Dustin) Hall, Kyle (Haley) Levault, Mercedes (Roy) Tharp; great-nieces and great nephews; Paisley, Lorelai, Alina, Emma, Addison, Zoey, Kuiper, Gavin, Dawson, Hazel, Raeley, Peyton, Lainey, Jordan, Skylar, Thomas, Roy Jr.; his aunt, Janet Luiting and numerous cousins. Scott's mother preceded him in death on April 26, 2025. He was also predeceased by his aunts, Nancy Emerson and Shirley Culver.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025, at CHRIST COMMUNITY CHURCH, 402 Church Street, Clinton, WI. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 26th at the Church with Pastor Mike Ligman officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Emerald Grove Cemetery.
