JAMES DANLEY Obituary

JAMES DANLEY James Roy Danley, age 82, a resident of Ft. Scott, Kansas, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Guest house Estates in Ft. Scott. He was born September 21,1941, in Ft.Scott, the son of Marvin James and Ruth Post Danley. Jim graduated from Fulton high school. After graduation, he served with the Navy from 1960-1964 working on airplanes. Following his service, Jim married Paula Baez who had two sons at the time. Jim had a family farm near Mapleton, Kansas. In 1976 Jim moved to Garden city and owned Finney county feedlot for several yrs. Jim divorced Paula. In 1986, Jim then moved in with Darlene Peters and was the love of his life for over 35 yrs. He enjoyed golfing and traveling with his grandkids. In 2003 Jim and Darlene moved to Springfield Missouri. In 2019 Jim moved into the living center in Ft. Scott. Survivors include his love Darlene Peters of Hutchinson Kansas, son Terry Gibson of Hutchinson Kansas, daughter Michelle Hefner of Springdale Arkansas, grandsons Skyler Moore with wife Emily, Devyn Moore, and Parker Hefner of Springdale Arkansas, granddaughter Krystle Gibson of Hutchinson, along with 6 great grandchildren. This is his real obituary that deserves to be heard.
