JUANITA VENTURI Obituary

JUANITA (JANIE) VENTURI Rochester - Juanita (Janie) Venturi, Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother & Friend, 70, passed away on February 8, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Juanita was born on January 25, 1954 in San Antonio to Eugenio and Eufemia Ortega. Juanita grew up in Garden City, Kansas. As a single mother, she achieved her college degree. She used the education in different vocations, but always dedicated herself to the betterment of her children and helping others. She was a tireless worker. She loved many hobbies but especially cooking enchiladas (secret recipe), garage sales, jewelry making, crocheting and going to casinos. She adored her grandchildren and was proud that she was the on 5th generation at the time of her passing. She cherished her family and friends deeply and will be remembered for her humor, wisdom, and perseverance. She wanted special recognition for her Granddaughter Avery Cisneros who had assisted with her care over the past three years. Juanita is survived by Husband Dallas of Rochester, Minnesota, her 5 Children, Tina Cisneros of Denver, Colorado, Martina Cisneros of Wichita, Kansas, and Guillermo Cisneros of Salina, Kansas, Eva Cisneros of Tampa, Florida, and Arnita of Rochester, Minnesota, and 3 step children. Juanita had 17 Grand-children, 14 Great-Grandchildren with 1 on the way, 1 Great Great Grandchild, 3 sisters, Yolanda Corral of Kansas City, Missouri, Carmen Tarin of Deming, New Mexico, and Diana Ortega of Garden City, Kansas, as well as numerous relatives and friends who mourn her loss. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents: Eugenio R. Ortega and Eufemia Zamarripa; brothers: Robert and Joe; sisters: Manuela Andrada, Lupe Porras, Dora Carrillo, Gloria Rosas and Dominga Nava, grandchildren Destiny Cruz, Brody Cisneros, and son: Richard Michael. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Juanita's life will be held on February 18, 2024 at Elks Lodge, 905 E Kansas Plaza, Garden City, Kansas at 2 p.m.

My Aunt Janie was strong and fierce. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her. I´ll cherish the time I got to spend with her as a little girl in her enchilada line, at garage sales, or just in her kitchen with strawberry wallpaper.
