I knew Chris when he lived south of Lawrence Kansas with his father and his brother Sean. He was a typical teanager, hanging out with friends and family. I worked with John and spent some time at his house on weekends and got to know the boys. All in all, they were good kids. Chris will be missed. Alan Robertson

I first met Chris in mid April when we both started working for Cabela's and were attending the orientation at the Marriott. He came up to me and introduced himself as a Firefighter that previously worked for Grand Junction F.D., and he knew that I was a retired Firefighter from Los Angeles. We both seemed to have a lot in common, being Firefighters and avid outdoorsmen. Everytime after our first meeting, he always reminded me of a person who had a passion for helping people, friendly, very cheerful, and very eager to work and lend a helping hand. We talked often, and I always asked him how he was feeling, and with a smile the response was always the same, good today! I got to know Chris pretty well, and we discussed different things we had encountered as firefighters, and he always could make you laugh with his witt that Firefighters tend to have. Chris will be deeply missed, not only by those that he worked with on the Fire Dept., but also by the friends that he made at Cabela's as well. I will miss the smile, quick witt and the friendly demeanor that he always carried with him, as a friend, co-worker and a brother Firefighter. God has you now Chris, no more disease, no more pain! My prayers to his wife and family.
