Steve Leonard Bryson aka "Papaw"

Steve Leonard Bryson, 73, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026.

Steve was born January 1, 1953, in Murphy, NC. Steve was a Christian, Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Papaw, and Great Grandfather.

Steve is a retired construction worker. Steve loved telling jokes, going out to eat, vacations to Panama City Beach and the mountains. He enjoyed listening to his radio to Christian broad casting and rock n roll. He enjoyed bowling, watching movies, playing cards, and the jump-based solitaire triangle peg game. Steve lived life to the fullest and would give you the shirt off his back.

Celebration of Life for Steve will be held Graveside in the Spring per his wishes. The service will be Graveside at Hamilton Mill Chapel 3481 Hamilton Mill Road Buford GA 30519.

Steve is survived by his sister Linda Bryson, daughter Tammy (Jamie) Correll; his granddaughters Maison (Dennis) Fish, Bryce Correll; grandsons Lunden Bryson, Gaven Webster; Great grandchildren Ace and Ziggy King. Nephew Chris Geis; Neice Tanya (Joey) Smith; Great Neice Kayla (Jonathan) Legg, Carly Smith; Great Nephew Cameron (Lexi) Smith; many more family and friends.

Steve was preceded by his parents Mildred and James Sydney Bryson, his son David Bryson, and his sister Shelia Bryson.

Steve will be remembered for his love of God, family, music, Snoopy, dining out, lifting weights (body builder), being his own person, getting manicures and pedicures, telling jokes, and saying I am Superman. Steve loved being a Papaw and Great Grandfather. Steve loved giving to people and being generous. Steve enjoyed visiting and doing outings with his best friend, Calvin Halring. Steve enjoyed telling stories about his life and just being talked to. Steve was a simple man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Steve always said, "You don't tell me what to do! I tell you what I am going to do!"
