Roy "Alton" Bryson, age 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.

Born November 12, 1946, in Greenville, SC, he was the son of Evelyn Chapman Bryson and the late Doyle Columbus Bryson.

Alton lived a great life that took him on many adventures, including some years living in Hawaii. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Alton was an entrepreneur at heart, making a name for himself as a real estate developer and restaurant owner. He was also a fitness enthusiast, a massage therapist, and music lover. Those close to him knew him as charming, captivating, fun-loving, and eccentric. To know Alton was to love him and he will be missed by all who were blessed to have him in their life.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, Aaron K. Bryson of Greenville, Ross A. Bryson (Mary Rachel) of Greenville, and Logan C. Bryson (Amber) of Anderson; and grandchildren, Collin Bryson (Gracie), Logan Mims, Caiden Bryson, Jaxon Bryson, Lily Bryson, Ella Bryson, Walker Bryson, and Bennett Bryson.
