The word "Great" is over used, abused and mis-used, I try not to use it all. However, it is the only word that I can think of to describe Coach Winder. The number of lives he touched and influenced is staggering. I was privileged to have had him for my coach and honored to call him my friend. Scott Campbell

A really good man, from a really good family. Was the best athlete during my year's playing with and then watching his career progress. Probably the best athlete to come out of Moffat County High? Feeling for his family and all his friends.

From childhood and staying over at each others houses, to sports in high school and the hearing of his great achievements. A man of special talents and strength of character we all admire. His passing leaves yet another whole in our hearts, but a hope of reunion in our faith.

To the family of Dick Winder,
Dick and I were classmates, and though I haven't seen him for years I have known about his great career. It was impressive for a boy from Craig, Colorado. My prayers are with all of you at this time. Virginia "Lee" Harvey Allen and Leonard Allen, formerly of Craig.
