Eftehea Sophocles Obituary
She went to grade school in a one room school on Loghill Mesa, then Ridgeway Junior High, and graduated Highschool in Montrose.
Effie then joined the US Navy, and returned to Grand Junction there after. She was employed by the Grand Junction Veterans Administration Hospital for 30 years, and retired there too.
Effie loved animals, birds, and had a special fondness for cats, of which she had three.
She was never married, though she had many friends, mostly from the church she attended.
Effie liked gardening and loved the outdoors.
She had traveled some.
Effie was very friendly, somewhat shy, yet fun loving.
She is survived by her brothers, George and Jimmy, as well as her sister Helen.
Services will be held February 27th, 10 AM, at the Holy Wisdom Orthodox Church in Grand Junction
