Jared Rogers Obituary
July 28, 1987 - November 28, 2017
Our darling son Jared was born on July 28, 1987, and passed away unexpectedly on November 28, 2017. From the day he was born Jared marched to his own unique drummer.
As a child he began tinkering with anything mechanical. He tore everything apart to see how it worked. He sometimes got them back together. As he got older he loved to work on stereo systems, cars and computers. His friends say he "Jared-rigged" everything.
Jared was a terrific cook and could make a great meal out of anything. He loved experimenting with recipes and coming up with new ones. Jared was extremely intelligent. He spent his life learning through reading and researching. He remembered everything. He never knew a stranger. He befriended people of all walks of life and was truly interested in their story.
Jared is survived by his parents, Alan and Sandra Rogers; his sister, Carsyn; grandparents, Jack and Doris Hart and his beloved fiance, Shawn Rentie.
Jared will be laid to rest next to his beloved grandparents, Harry and Evelyn Rogers, in the Olathe Cemetery. Services will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at The Redlands Methodist Church in Grand Junction.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Jared, please donate to Roice-Hurst Humane Society, or to Colorado West Pride.

Dear Rogers',
We are so sorry to learn of the great loss of Jared. He was so friendly, and sincere. Very inquisitive. Fun to talk to. One Very late night/ early morning several years ago, I had arrived at my parents house; carried my young children inside. I was unloading my Dodge in the inky dark , and Jared scared the bejeezers out of me. He just wandered over to chat. And, he helped me carry luggage inside. He often did that; very compassionate, and helpful. The day after my Dad died, Jared came over, I happened to be the one to answer the door. I'll always remember how genuine he was to me, how tight he hugged me, of course he stayed to chat. Heaven has an extra star today.

So great is the love for a child. They hold our futures and expectations in the palm of their hands. The loss is great. Our deepest condolences from other parents who have lost children.
