Years ago, I worked for a state employee credit union and remember Joe coming in ever so often. He always had a smile and a kind word. We had a friend with ALS, so I know what you and the family went through. He is free again and looking after all of us. You are in my thoughts and prayers

To the Rooks Family:
I have come to know Mr. Rooks as both a teacher and role-model. His demeanor demanded respect. He taught with love, genuineness and sheer sincerity in the hope that all under his leadership would not only be successful in his class, but also in the world ahead of them. I, a former student, offer prayers to all friends and family. Even in times like these, may God truly and richly bless.
