Joseph Daniel Steinkirchner

Joseph Daniel Steinkirchner died May 13, 2018, peacefully at home.
Joe was born December 11, 1934, to William Henry Steinkirchner II and Elizabeth Wihelmina Hesse and was the youngest of four children. His siblings were William Henry Steinkirchner III, Dolores Mary Steinkirchner, and Rita Agnes Steinkircher. His parents and siblings all preceded him in death.
He was raised in Wichita, Kansas and married Janet Ruth Teague on December 27, 1956, in Manhattan, Kansas. Joe served at the rank of Lieutenant in the US Navy and was a certified demolition diver.
He and Jan moved to Grand Junction, Colorado in 1962. Joe was a Certified Public Accountant and partner with the firm Chadwick, Steinkirchner, Davis, & Company and was a respected citizen and businessman of Grand Junction. Joe was respected and loved by all for his devotion to family, deep faith, caring nature, and his conviction to treating all those he knew with love and respect.
Joe is survived by his wife, Jan; his son, Dan (Kelli) Steinkirchner; Anna (Dan) Fossum; Pat (Terese) Steinkirchner; Johanna (Darryl) Gracie; Steve (Teri) Steinkirchner; Michele (Brad) Scriven; Toni (Dan) Pond; Peggy (Jeff) Bolduc; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Services will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on June 8th. A rosary will be held at 2:00 p.m. with a Mass at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to HopeWest or Catholic Outreach would be appreciated.
