Marianne M. Schoening

Marianne M. Schoening July 17, 1921 - September 27, 2009 Former Grand Junction resident Marianne "Mimi" Schoening died on September 27 at Frasier Meadows Health Care Center in Boulder, Colorado. She was 88. Mimi was born in Hanna, Wyoming on July 17, 1921. She graduated from Hanna High School and attended Park College in Missouri. In 1947 she married pharmacist Lende Schoening and moved to Minnesota, where the couple lived until relocating to Grand Junction in 1961. Lende worked for Lende Super Drug and Mimi devoted herself to raising the couple's three children. Mimi was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a faithful member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church until she moved to Arvada in 1999. A memorial eucharist will be held at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Grand Junction at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
