Richard Scariano Obituary
Dick told us many times what he wanted his obituary to say, and is as follows:
Dick loved his family and friends. He also wanted to tell all of his business associates how much he appreciated them through the years.
Dick graduated from CU with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Dick owned Omega Realty and Associates, and was in commercial and residential real estate for 45 years. For eleven years Cassie Herwick was his right hand and his support in the business.
He was a member of Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing Club, PCA Club, member of the Art center in Grand Junction, and former member of Rotary Club. He enjoyed race car driving, boating, camping, traveling with his wife Sharon and all his friends, and his dog, Copa. Dick was outgoing, friendly, and dedicated to his family, his friends. When someone needed help, Dick was always there with a helping hand.
Dick was preceded in death by his faithful dog, Copa. Copa was cremated and will be interred with Dick.
He is survived by his lovely and supportive wife Sharon, his sons Ted (Erica), Todd, and Brian (Crystal) as well as his loving sisters Susan (Geno), Lisa (Michael), Shelly (David), and Sharon Kullander (Dennis). Dick also had four grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Hunter), Trevor, Daniel, and Christina.
A memorial service will be held February 27, 2024 at 10:30 am at Canyon View Church, 736 24 1/2 Road Grand Junction, CO 81505. Please consider making a memorial contribution in Dick's name to: Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, HopeWest, or the Dumb Friends League.
