Rose Dores was born in Grand Junction, Colorado January 23, 1947. On March 15, 2020, she was welcomed into the gates of heaven with her family beside her at the age of 73.

Born and raised in Grand Junction, she was preceded in death by parents, Carmen Tabor and Alvin Ernest Dores; brothers, Dan, Frank and Augustine Dores; daughter, Yvette Dores, and granddaughter, Mariah Loya.

Rose's (Rosa's) life was filled with love, strength, hard work, and dedication to her family and her friends. Her door was always open. Her family and children were her priority, as she always protected and provided no matter what. She enjoyed cooking, planting gardens with her brother, walks, and watching the sunset in her front yard while listening to her favorite songs. She was a protector, a disciplinarian, and an incredible friend. Rosa was a fighter and powerful woman who impacted everyone she came in contact with.

She is survived by Richard, Peggy, Rudy, Ernest and Felipe Dores; children, Robert and Jerry Dores, Cynthia Garcia, Lorraine and James Dores, as well as grandchildren, Monica, Jeremy, Joshua, Mark, Naomi and Brandon Dores, Brain Vasquez, Carmyn, Amaliyah and Izaak Shroder. She will be deeply missed by friends and family.

Those who touched her life are welcomed to join the services Friday, March 20, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Viewing from 5 - 7:00 p.m., with Rosary from 7 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 21, at 11:00 a.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Followed by burial at the Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

The Dores family would like thank each and every person for their condolences at this time. The amount of love shared is tremendous. Let us all rest Rosa in love, caring and happiness.
