TIRIA ALCALA Obituary
Tiria was an active and fun-loving girl who had a deep love for her God, Jehovah, as well as animals and people. Tiria was a three-time 4H Grand Champion, winning with two steers and one lamb. She also achieved the remarkable feat of being a five-time Grand Champion with English Setters, including the top dog in the country, Oscar, at the English Setter National competition, which featured over a thousand dogs. Her talents extended beyond the show ring, as she excelled in various outdoor sports such as elk hunting, camping, motorcycle riding, water sports, and skiing. Tiria's dog, Oscar, was also on track to become a double champion in both the show ring and bird hunting.
Professionally, Tiria was self-employed as a groomer and worked as a vet tech at Tiara Rado for many years. She was highly skilled and dedicated to her work, leaving a lasting impact on the animals she cared for.
Tiria will be deeply missed by her husband, Logan Alcala, her parents Lynn and Dondi Griffith, Sisters Sharah Russell and Toni Ballard, and her large extended family, ALONG WITH SOME VERY CLOSE FRIENDS
A memorial service will be held on November 11, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 3303 E 3/4 Road, Clifton, CO 81520.
The family has experienced a tragic loss, as Tiria's brother-in-law, Eric Ballard, was also killed, and her sister, Toni Ballard, the sole survivor, has been undergoing multiple surgeries over the past 4 weeks weeks at a hospital in Phoenix.
Tiria will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love for her family, and her passion for animals and outdoor activities.
